'Twas the night before Christmas in the Florida Keys. And like most people in the balmy subtropical island chain, Santa Keys was doing everything possible to make the season merry and bright. Rachel Bowman, a dedicated pole spear huntress, is the Florida Keys’ only female commercial lionfish fisherman. She spears several thousand lionfish each year, removing as many of the invasive species from Keys waters as she can.
