Dolphin Research Center’s Dolphin Sunset Celebration
Experience a truly unforgettable evening at Dolphin Research Center in the Florida Keys with the Dolphin Sunset Celebration, an intimate once-a-month after-hours program designed for guests ages 5 and up. When the center closes to the public, this exclusive 1.5-hour experience invites participants to step behind the scenes and connect with the dolphins in a relaxed, scenic, and meaningful setting.
Guests will become part of the dolphins’ evening enrichment by offering them specially prepared dolphin-safe jello treats and witnessing their unique personalities up close. Throughout the experience, Dolphin Research Center’s marine mammal experts are available for casual conversations, sharing insights into dolphin behavior, training, research, conservation, and daily animal care.
As golden hour fades into twilight, guests can raise a glass of champagne, with a non-alcoholic option available, and toast to another beautiful sunset in paradise. Surrounded by ocean views, the sounds of nature, and the joyful energy of the dolphin family, this program blends education, connection, and coastal beauty into a one-of-a-kind Florida Keys experience.
The program includes exclusive after-hours access, a dolphin enrichment interaction, direct time with animal care and education staff, a sunset toast, free parking, and general admission for the following day. Tickets purchased at the standard or local rate also include a one-year membership, which features an annual general admission pass, one free one-day guest pass, a gift shop discount, member updates, and access to special member content.

Pricing: $199 per person, $169 for Monroe County locals, and $149 for members. Reservations are required, space is limited, and the program is offered only once a month. Pregnant guests are unable to participate for safety and liability reasons. Children ages 5 to 7 must be accompanied by a paying participating adult.
