Founded in 1970 by undersea pioneering Aquanaut Ian Koblick, MRDF brings over five decades of leadership in underwater research, education, and habitat exploration. Since 1985, their MarineLab environmental education campus in Key Largo has welcomed nearly 7,000 students and educators across 249 in-person programs—plus another 1,700 learners through virtual outreach in 2023 alone, including school field trips, summer camps, family days, and teacher workshops
