Barrier Free Divers

Barrier Free Divers

Barrier Free Divers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Key Largo, working to remove the obstacles that keep people with disabilities from experiencing scuba diving. Founded by adaptive dive instructors Rosemary Ciotti and Kay Pearson, the organization offers free discover-scuba sessions, adaptive certifications, and its flagship Camp Open S.E.A.S. It also consults with dive shops and resorts across the Keys to make their operations more accessible. Partnering with groups like REEF, Mote Marine, and the Coral Restoration Foundation, Barrier Free Divers helps everyone share in the wonder beneath the surface.
