Clay Space

ClaySpace is a ceramics studio at 5700 4th Avenue on Stock Island, a few minutes outside Old Town, in the same working commercial yard that houses the Stockyard Studios artists. It is a teaching studio first. Classes, private lessons and studio memberships are all on offer, and the studio takes beginners alongside people who already know their way around clay.

Membership means studio access rather than a class slot, so it also works for someone staying long enough to want a place to make things. Visitors passing through are better served by a class or a private lesson.

The studio is known locally for its ceramic garden pieces, and it has opened its doors as a stop on the Artist Studio Tour that The Studios of Key West runs on Stock Island, which is the easiest way to see the space without booking anything.

Because the studio does not post walk-in hours, anything here is worth arranging ahead by email rather than turning up and hoping.
