Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge
Crocodile Lake NWR, created in 1980, is one of four refuges within the Florida Keys National Wildlife Refuges complex. It safeguards a diverse mosaic of ecosystems, including tropical hardwood hammocks, mangrove forests, and salt marshes, which support a variety of rare and endangered species.
