FishMonster & Island Jane is a Key West family business that has been fishing these waters since 2006, running boats from three docks in Old Town: A&B Marina at 700 Front Street, Key West Bait & Tackle at 241 Margaret Street, and the Hyatt Centric at 601 Front Street.

The FishMonster MAX is the flagship, a 64 by 24 foot twin engine catamaran, USCG certified, with a wrap around fishing deck, an air conditioned cabin, two bathrooms, a galley and a sundeck. Half day party trips run 8 to 1 out of A&B Marina at $85 for adults and $60 for children 12 and under, with the fishing license and bait included and rod rental at $5. Private charters take up to 49. The rest of the fishing fleet, the Gold, the Light, the Stealth, the Classic, Premium Time and the Reel Deal, covers offshore sportfishing, light tackle, flats and backcountry, and split charters.

Island Jane is the other half of the business and it is not about fishing. The Floridays is a 52 foot Irwin ketch, a proper sailboat, docked at the Hyatt Centric and available for snorkel trips, sunset sails and weddings with beverages and snorkel gear aboard. Alongside her, the Looking Glass runs sandbar and dolphin excursions, family days, lobstering in season, and private eco tours with clear kayaks. Call (305) 432-0046.
