Green Turtle Hammock Nature Preserve is an 8.7-acre preserve in Islamorada featuring rockland tropical hammock habitat, a bayside canoe launch, picnic areas, and educational displays. A gentle 0.4-mile loop trail winds through native trees and provides a quiet escape where visitors can experience flora, wildlife, and views of Florida Bay.
The preserve is open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM, offers free entry, and allows leashed pets—though visitors should heed warning signs about crocodiles in certain areas.
