Island Adventures

Island Adventures

Island Adventures is a veteran-owned charter operation based at 80500 Overseas Highway, mile marker 80.5 in Islamorada, run by Captain Jim Kozubal. Trips are booked as private charters, so you are out with just your own group, and you can build the day around snorkeling, a stop at the sandbar, a sunset cruise, or a custom mix of all three.

On the water, the boats carry snorkel gear, floating mats, tubes, paddleboards, life jackets, and a cooler with ice, and flotation is available for beginners and non-swimmers, so the trips work for a wide range of ages and comfort levels. Snorkeling spots run from just a few feet deep to around twenty feet, and guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks.

A couple of planning notes: each boat is capped at six passengers by Coast Guard law, so larger groups book more than one boat, and charters come as two-hour or four-hour trips. Check-in is by the tiki bar at the dock, where there is parking, and bookings and questions go through Captain Jim at (305) 394-1436 or jim@goislandadventures.com.
