Mote - Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research & Restoration

Mote Marine Laboratory operates three research campuses in the Florida Keys, focusing on coral reef science and restoration. The Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research & Restoration (IC2R3) on Summerland Key is a LEED Gold-certified facility housing over 20,000 healthy coral fragments. Additionally, Mote maintains coral nurseries in Islamorada and Key Largo, contributing to the restoration of Florida’s Coral Reef. Public tours are available at each location, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about ongoing conservation efforts.
