Sailors Choice Fishing Boat

Sailors Choice is a family owned party fishing boat running out of the Holiday Inn Marina at mile marker 100 in Key Largo. The boat is custom built, all aluminum, 65 feet long, and U.S. Coast Guard certified for up to 49 passengers, which puts it in a different class from the six passenger charters up and down the highway.

The fare covers everything you need to fish: rod, reel, bait and tackle. The catch runs mostly to snapper and grouper, with amberjack, wahoo, yellowtail and barracuda turning up as well. Keep what you catch and the crew will clean and fillet it, or let it go, whichever suits.

No experience is required, which is rather the point of a party boat. The crew will show a first timer how to work a rod, and a family can get six people on the water for a fraction of what a private charter costs.
