Salty Buddha Offshore

Salty Buddha Offshore runs out of Key Largo with Captain Jason Smith aboard a 26 foot Crevalle, a 2015 hull with a single 300 horsepower Yamaha on the back and room for six. Trips are private, and the day gets built around what your group actually wants to do.

Despite the name, this is not an offshore-only operation. The four and six hour trips work the nearshore flats and backcountry for redfish, snapper and cobia, while the offshore days go trolling or run out to the reefs and wrecks for mahi, sailfish, almaco jack and grouper, black, red and snowy. Eight hours is the longest day on the board.

Rods, reels and tackle come with the charter, along with live bait, lures, water and your Florida fishing license, so there is nothing to buy beforehand. They clean and fillet the catch at the dock.
