Sunset Park

Sunset Park sits at West Ocean Drive and 12th Street in Key Colony Beach, a small incorporated city just off the highway in the Marathon area of the Middle Keys. Run by the City of Key Colony Beach, it is an open waterfront green space on the west side of the island, which is what gives it the wide-open sunset views its name points to.

The city keeps it as a passive-use park, an open area to walk out to, take in the water, and watch the evening sky, rather than a facility packed with equipment. The space can also be reserved for private events through a city rental contract, arranged through Key Colony Beach City Hall.

Sunset Park is one piece of the city's small park system, which also includes East Side Park on 8th Street, Waterfront Park by City Hall, children's playgrounds on 1st and 7th Streets, and a par 3 golf course. Questions, hours, and event reservations all run through City Hall at 600 West Ocean Drive.
