Two Conchs Fishing Charters

Two Conchs Charters runs out of 11499 Overseas Highway in Marathon, at Isla Bella Beach Resort, and it is a family operation in the literal sense. Capt. Jack Carlson is a second generation Florida Keys guide with more than 20 years on this water, and all three of his sons came up behind him as third generation guides: Capt. Austin, Capt. Tucker and Capt. JC Carlson.

The fleet is what sets them apart. More than 20 boats ranging from 17 to 43 feet means the boat gets matched to the trip rather than the other way around. Flats and backcountry days go after bonefish, permit, tarpon, redfish, snook and barracuda. Reef and wreck trips work snapper, grouper, cobia, African pompano and kingfish. Offshore runs chase dolphin, tuna, wahoo and sailfish, and the bigger boats take on swordfish trips, far Gulf runs and long days out to the Dry Tortugas and Pulley Ridge.

Two Conchs also runs its own full service marina just up the road at 11587 Overseas Highway, with a fuel dock, an on duty mechanic, a boat lift and electronics service, open 7 to 6 daily, alongside a bait and tackle shop and fishing camps for kids.
