Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park

Explore exposed walls of fossilized coral from a former quarry that helped build the historic Overseas Railroad, walk shaded tropical hammock trails and spot migratory birds in this compact, educational state park. Open Thursday through Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a small entrance fee, it offers a memorable stop for visitors passing through the Middle Keys.
