Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors

January 19 through February 20, 2027. Get ready for a hilariously spooky night of theater as the Red Barn Theatre in Key West presents Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, a fast-paced, outrageously funny reimagining of Bram Stoker's classic vampire tale by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen.

Blending gothic horror with outrageous comedy, this high-energy production delivers a playful mix of clever wordplay, gender-bending humor, lightning-fast costume changes, and unexpected twists. With a comedic spirit reminiscent of Mel Brooks and Monty Python, the show turns the legendary vampire story into a delightfully unpredictable theatrical adventure.

When a mysterious blood-related illness strikes, a desperate search for answers leads to the legendary vampire hunter Van Helsing and the dangerously charming Count Dracula. What follows is a whirlwind of mistaken identities, outrageous encounters, and laugh-out-loud moments as a small ensemble brings an entire cast of eccentric characters to life.

Directed by Mimi McDonald, the production features Susannah Wells, Erin McKenna, Phillip Cole White, Jody Orrigo, and Dominic Paolillo, showcasing their comedic talents through multiple roles and rapid-fire performances.

Presented in the intimate setting of the Red Barn Theatre in Old Town Key West, this lively production offers an entertaining night out for fans of comedy, theater, and classic horror stories with a humorous twist.

Whether you're a longtime Dracula fan or simply looking for a night filled with laughter, Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors promises a fang-tastically funny theatrical experience!
