4th Annual Pirates & Mermaids Rum Chase

Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden turns its grounds over to an adults-only scavenger hunt in pirate and mermaid costume, now in its fourth year.

The hunt sends teams through fifteen acres of hardwood hammock after dark, with rum tasting, themed cocktails, beer, wine and light bites along the way. There is a costume contest with prizes for the best pirates and mermaids, which is the part people plan for months.
Tickets are $49 early bird through October 31, $65 from November 1 through November 19, and $75 at the door. Guests must be 21 or older.

Proceeds go toward the Garden’s planned Education Center for Monroe County students. The Garden sits at 5210 College Road on Stock Island, the last undisturbed tropical hardwood hammock and freshwater habitat of its kind in the continental United States.
