Aqua Idol at the Legion

Every Tuesday from September 8 through October 13, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Key West.

The Royal Aqua Idol season is here. Every Tuesday for six weeks, a group of singers battles it out through song to become the winner of Aqua Idol for their King or Queen candidate, all to benefit the animals of the Florida Keys SPCA. Watch in awe as the contestants add their own flair to every song. Listen with wonder as locals belt out the hits. Feel the excitement in the air, and taste the bitterness as the judges express their opinions.

Every week brings a new theme, so the setlists keep you guessing. Week one, September 8, is 70s Songwriter Night. Week two, September 15, is Broadway Night. The season runs Tuesdays through October 13.

Here is the part where you come in. You can help your singer of choice and their King or Queen candidate win by donating dollars to their buckets, and all proceeds go directly to benefit animals. Admission is free, so the only money you spend is the money you are giving away.

Aqua Idol is one piece of a bigger six-week push. The Florida Keys SPCA launches its King and Queen campaign on Friday, September 4 with What I Did Fur Love: King and Queen Kick Off at the Key West Theater, and the Tuesday singing nights carry that fundraising through the fall.
