Cheeca Lodge & Spa All-American Backcountry Tournament
November 12–14, 2026. Experience two days of competitive sportfishing in the heart of the Florida Keys during the All-American Fishing Tournament at Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada.
Anglers head out onto Islamorada’s renowned flats and backcountry waters for catch-and-release fishing, targeting some of the region’s most prized gamefish, including snook, redfish, bonefish, tarpon, and permit. Competition includes Fly, General Tackle, and Artificial divisions, with awards recognizing top performances throughout the tournament.
Held in conjunction with Veterans Day, the tournament has a longstanding tradition of honoring U.S. military veterans, including wounded and disabled veterans who are invited to participate alongside other anglers.
The experience extends beyond the water with tournament meals and social gatherings at Cheeca Lodge & Spa, giving participants an opportunity to relax, share fishing stories, and enjoy the camaraderie surrounding the event.
Proceeds benefit Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, supporting science-based conservation and restoration efforts focused on flats fisheries and the habitats that sustain them throughout the Florida Keys and beyond.
Fish legendary Islamorada waters, honor those who have served, and support the conservation of the flats fisheries that make the Florida Keys an internationally recognized angling destination.
