Golden Fly Tarpon Tournament

Golden Fly Invitational Tarpon Tournament is one of the Florida Keys’ most prestigious fly-fishing competitions, held annually in Islamorada during the height of the famed tarpon migration. This invitation-only, three-day tournament brings together elite anglers and world-class guides to test their skill pursuing the legendary “Silver King” using fly-fishing techniques in the shallow waters of Florida Bay and the surrounding Keys. Considered the first of the “Big Three” tarpon tournaments each season, the event launches from the iconic Lorelei Restaurant & Marina and blends high-level competition with camaraderie, tradition, and respect for the sport. Participants compete for tournament honors and unique prizes—including custom artwork and top fly-fishing gear—while celebrating the long-standing heritage of tarpon fishing in the Florida Keys.
