Raise a glass to one of Key West’s most legendary literary figures during this playful tribute to Ernest Hemingway at Comedy Key West. Led by comedian James Scott Patterson, the hourlong show takes a humorous look at Hemingway’s larger-than-life story, from his early years and celebrated writing career to his globe-spanning adventures, colorful personality, and famously spirited social life.

Presented just a few blocks from the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum and around the corner from Sloppy Joe’s, the performance places audiences in the heart of the Key West neighborhood most closely associated with the celebrated author. Patterson blends biography, storytelling, and comedy to explore the moments that helped shape Hemingway’s enduring legend, balancing literary history with sharp wit, surprising anecdotes, and plenty of irreverent humor.

The show runs from 5:30–6:30 p.m., making it an easy addition to an evening out in Old Town Key West. Admission also includes a complimentary glass of Valpolicella, a wine associated with Hemingway, adding a fitting toast to the happy-hour atmosphere.

Whether you are a Hemingway enthusiast, a history lover, or simply looking for a fun and unconventional way to experience Key West’s literary heritage, this Comedy Key West presentation offers a lively mix of culture, humor, and local character.
