History of Diving Museum 21st Anniversary Guided Tours
Saturday, September 19, 2026, with tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Islamorada.
The History of Diving Museum is turning 21, and it is celebrating with guided tours included in your admission. Museum members get in free, and Monroe County residents get a locals discount, so this is the weekend to take advantage of it.
Kids get a scavenger hunt, free bookmarks and take-home activity guides, which makes it an easy stop with children in tow.
Tours take approximately 45 minutes and run twice, at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. No reservations are required, but arrive 10 minutes before the start time. Afterward you can circle back through the exhibits at your own pace.
The museum holds one of the world's largest collections of diving helmets, hand-operated air pumps, armored suits, lights and other accessory gear, alongside memorabilia, prints, photographs, books and film. It is at 82990 Overseas Highway at mile marker 83, open daily from 10 to 5.
