Islander Resort to Host America 250 Freedom Trail Stop in Islamorada

On Tuesday, June 30, from 2:30 to 6:30 PM, just ahead of Independence Day, the America 250 Freedom Trail rolls into The Islander Resort in Islamorada with a traveling museum exhibit celebrating the nation's 250th birthday.

The exhibit features interactive mobile museum trailers showcasing Florida’s role in American history and will be free and open to the public, offering a fun, family-friendly activity for residents and visitors throughout the holiday week. As part of a statewide journey through all 67 Florida counties, the Florida Freedom Tour includes two immersive exhibits—one exploring Florida’s contributions to the American Revolution and another highlighting the state’s growth and development during the 20th century. The Islander Resort, a longtime Islamorada landmark, is hosting the tour stop in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation and the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center.
