Jeff Leonia Reel and Steel Classic

The Live Like Jeff Reel & Steel Classic is an annual Florida Keys fishing and diving tournament held in honor of Captain Jeff Leonia, a beloved local waterman known for his passion for the ocean and adventurous spirit. Anglers and spearfishers gather to compete for the largest grouper and hogfish on opening day of grouper season, with divisions for rod-and-reel anglers, scuba divers, freedivers, and youth participants. More than just a competition, the event celebrates Jeff’s legacy by bringing the community together for a day on the water while raising funds to support youth fishing and diving programs in the Florida Keys.
