Key Largo SCUBAPRO + Mote Community Coral Reef Full Dive Restoration Program

Key Largo SCUBAPRO + Mote Community Coral Reef Full Dive Restoration Program

Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Key Largo.

Spend a day actually working on the reef rather than just looking at it. Mote Marine Laboratory's Community Coral Reef Full Dive Restoration Program gives participants a hands-on opportunity to make a positive difference in the health of our coral reef system.

On land, you fragment coral using microfragmentation, the technique that creates duplicates able to grow as much as 50 times faster than a natural coral, and tour one of the country's largest land-based coral nurseries. In the water, activities may include helping to maintain Mote's expansive in-water nurseries and monitoring coral health, depending on water and weather conditions.

Mote's Key Largo Coral Nursery is the first and only land-based coral nursery in Key Largo, supporting restoration at Carysfort, Grecian Rocks and French Reef. It operates from Reefhouse Resort & Marina at 103800 Overseas Highway.

This is the last Key Largo Full Dive date of 2026. Registration is through Mote's Active.com page.
