Key West History Through Five Craft Cocktails

Key West History Through Five Craft Cocktails

Available October 20–24 and October 27–31, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. Raise a glass to Key West’s colorful past during Key West History Through Craft Cocktails, a hands-on mixology experience at Bar 1 at the Key West Cooking Show.

During this two-hour experience, participants make and sample five cocktails while discovering stories from Key West history. Learn about figures and events connected to the island’s past, including William Curry, the U.S. Navy, and Key West’s maritime heritage, with each cocktail adding another chapter to the experience.

More than a traditional tasting, the class puts guests behind the bar to mix, shake, and create cocktails from scratch using premium spirits, fresh garnishes, and professional bar tools. No previous mixology experience is necessary, making the experience approachable for beginners as well as cocktail enthusiasts.

Classes are limited to 12 guests, creating an intimate setting for learning new techniques, enjoying handcrafted drinks, and discovering another side of Key West history.

The experience takes place at Bar 1, 291 Front Street, Suite 207, conveniently located near Mallory Square and Duval Street.

Come ready to mix, sip, and discover Key West history five cocktails at a time during this spirited experience in the heart of Old Town.
