Ladies, Let's Go Fishing! Keys Saltwater Weekend
October 16–18, 2026. Discover the excitement of sportfishing in a fun, supportive environment during the Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing! Keys University and Fishing Fever Tournament, a three-day Florida Keys experience combining hands-on education, fishing, and friendly competition.
Affectionately known as the “No-Yelling School of Fishing,” the program welcomes beginners as well as experienced anglers looking to sharpen their skills. No previous fishing experience or equipment is required, making it an approachable way to learn from experienced captains and fishing educators.
The weekend begins Friday with optional fishing followed by an evening networking social and fundraiser from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, participants gather at the Tavernier Elks Lodge at Mile Marker 92 for educational sessions covering offshore, inshore, and bottom fishing, tackle, conservation, and fishing basics. Hands-on skill stations include knot tying, casting, dehooking, bait rigging, spin casting, and more.
Optional fishing continues Sunday, when participants can head out aboard inshore or offshore charter boats or fish from their own boats as part of the friendly Fishing Fever Tournament. Prizes are awarded for top catches, adding a little competition to a weekend centered on learning and camaraderie.
Hosted by the nonprofit Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing Foundation, the program combines practical instruction with opportunities to spend time on the water while promoting conservation and responsible angling.
Whether you’re picking up a rod for the first time or looking to build your fishing skills, the Keys weekend offers three memorable days of learning, fishing, friendship, and Florida Keys adventure.
