Marathon Fourth of July Parade & Fireworks Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day in Marathon with a full day of family-friendly festivities at Sombrero Beach, home to one of the Florida Keys’ largest and longest-running fireworks displays. The celebration begins with a patriotic parade at 11 a.m. on July 4, traveling from Marathon High School to Sombrero Beach, and continues throughout the day with food, cold drinks, entertainment, and beachside activities for all ages. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Marathon, the City of Marathon, and the Marathon Chamber of Commerce, the evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks show around 9 p.m., drawing spectators to the shoreline and nearby waters for unforgettable views. Admission is free.
