Owl-O-Ween
Celebrate Halloween the wild way at Owl-O-Ween, a family-friendly evening presented by the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center at the Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary in Tavernier.
On Friday, October 30, from 4 to 8 p.m., the sanctuary transforms into a festive Halloween setting filled with activities for all ages. Young ghosts and goblins can enjoy trick-or-treating and festival games, while families can explore arts and crafts and pick up drinks and snacks throughout the evening.
Guests can also wander through the Conservation Village and learn more about the Wild Bird Center’s work rescuing, rehabilitating, and protecting native birds throughout the Florida Keys. Surrounded by mangroves, boardwalks, and more than 90 permanent resident birds, the sanctuary provides a one-of-a-kind backdrop for a Halloween celebration.
Owl-O-Ween is also a fun opportunity to support a beloved Upper Keys nonprofit while introducing children to wildlife conservation and the remarkable birds that call the Keys home.
Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted to support the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center’s mission.
Put on your costume, bring the family, and get ready for trick-or-treating, wildlife, and plenty of spooky fun at Owl-O-Ween in Tavernier!
