Plant a Million Corals Ribbon Cutting & Community Celebration
Join the community in celebrating a major milestone in marine conservation at the Plant a Million Corals Ribbon Cutting on May 24 from 2–4 p.m. at Summerland Farms, located at 23900 Overseas Highway, Summerland Key. This free, family-friendly event will feature live micro-fragmenting demonstrations, facility tours, and opportunities to meet the team behind this innovative coral restoration effort. The expansion will significantly increase coral production, supporting the ongoing mission to restore Florida’s reefs.
Following the ribbon cutting, guests are invited to continue the celebration at “Cocktails for Corals,” taking place from 6–9 p.m. at South of the Seven, located at 17075 Overseas Highway, Sugarloaf Shores. This evening fundraiser will feature cocktails, live music, a silent auction, and light bites, with proceeds supporting ongoing coral restoration initiatives.
