Sugarloaf Showdown

November 12–14, 2026. Cast a line for competition, camaraderie, and a great cause during the 13th Annual Lower Keys Guides Association Sugarloaf Showdown, a three-day fishing tournament in the Lower Florida Keys.

This catch-and-release tournament challenges anglers to target bonefish, permit, and barracuda, with both fly and spin tackle divisions offering opportunities to compete for top honors on the flats and in the backcountry waters of the Lower Keys.

The tournament also features a youth division, giving younger anglers an opportunity to participate and encouraging the next generation to learn about responsible fishing and stewardship of the Florida Keys marine environment.

Hosted by the Lower Keys Guides Association, the Sugarloaf Showdown supports the organization’s work to protect the fisheries, habitats, and guiding traditions of the Lower Florida Keys.
