Sugarloaf Showdown

The 12th Annual Sugarloaf Showdown, hosted by the Lower Keys Guides Association (LKGA), returns to Sugarloaf Key, November 13–15, 2025, bringing together anglers, families, and fishing enthusiasts for three days of fun, community, and conservation. What began as a small local tournament has grown into one of the most anticipated fishing events in the Florida Keys—selling out in under 48 hours each year. The tournament supports the Guides Trust Foundation, which provides emergency financial assistance to Keys fishing guides and their families during times of hardship. This year also features a public online auction, opening November 10 at SugarloafShowdown.com, with special proceeds benefiting the family of beloved guide Jacob Harnett.
