The Broken Hearts: A Tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

Hailing from Florida, The Broken Hearts deliver a high-energy concert experience spanning the music of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Petty’s solo career, Mudcrutch, and more. Fans can expect favorites from one of rock and roll’s most enduring song catalogs, performed with the distinctive guitars, vocals, and energy that defined Petty’s live shows.

The tribute was created in 2017 by Charlie Souza, a former member of Petty’s early band Mudcrutch, along with singer-songwriter Shawn Scheller. What began as a tribute following Petty’s passing grew into a nationally touring production dedicated to celebrating his music and influence.

Scheller leads the touring band on vocals and guitar, joined by a lineup of professional musicians recreating the sound and spirit of a Tom Petty concert. The group has performed at venues and festivals across the country, including appearances in Petty’s hometown of Gainesville.

Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show beginning at 8 p.m. at the Key West Theater, 512 Eaton Street.
