The Ocean Inspires: Rivers of Grass at REEF

On view August 2, 2026 through June 3, 2027. Rivers of Grass brings two large-format woven landscapes of the Florida Everglades to the REEF Ocean Exploration Center for Marine Conservation in Key Largo, created by Paola Mondolfi and Susanne Schirato on custom six-foot-square looms.

The work explores the relationship between nature and structure, where weaving mirrors the interconnected systems of wetlands. It is the latest installment in REEF's ongoing The Ocean Inspires series.

Admission is free and all are welcome. The center at 98380 Overseas Highway, mile marker 98.3, is open Monday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday noon to 8:00 PM, Wednesday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed Sunday. Groups of 10 or more need a reservation and pay a group visit fee.
