Fantasy Fest may be Key West’s most famous costume extravaganza (Oct. 17–26), but the spooky season fun doesn’t stop there. Across the Florida Keys, ghouls, ghosts, magical monsters and good times await — from eerie haunted happenings to lighthearted pumpkin parties and costume contests through Nov. 1.

Trick or Treat at Marathon’s Sombrero Beach – Oct. 21

Little ghosts and goblins will find candy galore from 6 to 8 p.m. while collecting treats from Middle Keys businesses in decorated tents on Marathon’s Sombrero Beach.

Trick or Treat at Aquarium Encounters in Marathon – Oct. 25

Start the day at 9 a.m. by trick or treating throughout Aquarium Encounters. Kids in costume get in free with a paying adult. It lasts until they run out of candy!

Double Feature Movie Night at Marathon Community Park – Oct. 25

Enjoy a free double feature showing of Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2 at the at Marathon Community Park, starting at 7 p.m. Bring your own blankets or chairs and snacks.

Islamorada Trunk or Treat & Haunted Hayride – Oct. 25

Find safe, family-friendly Halloween fun with trunk or treating, pumpkin decorating station, costume contest, and haunted forest hayrides. $10 per vehicle to enter.

Halloween at Pennekamp – Oct. 25

Have a frightfully good time in the haunted “A-Scare-Ium,” on two spooky trails, fun shows with Captain Coral, a mermaid meet-and-greet, and Trunk or Treating in the Cannon Beach parking area. The park is free to enter during the event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Islamorada Zombie Pub Crawl – Oct. 25

Dress like the undead to raise money Upper Keys charities. Join the scavenger hunt by bike, scooter or golf cart at 6 p.m. with registration at Islamorada Moose Club, followed by stops with goodies at nearby locations and ending with a costume party at Florida Keys Brewing Company. For ages 21-plus only.

Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest – Oct. 26

Join this fun-filled buddy challenge to create the most unique Jack O’Lantern underwater! Carving is for certified divers only, but snorkelers can join to watch the fun.

Sinister Speakeasy Halloween Party at Grassy Flats Resort – Oct. 31

Adults can indulge with happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by live music, a costume contest and new food and cocktail menu selections at The Palm Deck at Grassy Flats Resort & Beach Club.

I.CARE Underwater Critter Costume Party – Nov. 1

Grab your best sea-themed costume for coral restoration organization I.CARE’s annual Underwater Critter Costume Party from 6 to 9 p.m. at Florida Keys Brewing Company in Islamorada. The first-place winner gets a trip to Key West and Papa’s Pilar Rum classes.
