Fall Lecture Series: Local Chefs Panel

Wednesday, October 14, 2026, beginning at 5 p.m. Discover the flavors, traditions, and culinary stories of the Florida Keys as the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center kicks off its fall lecture series with a special panel discussion featuring local chefs.

Held on the grounds of the Islander Resort in Islamorada, the evening begins with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed by the panel discussion at 6 p.m.

Centered on the theme of food and folklore, the fall lecture series explores the connections between cuisine, culture, and the rich heritage of the Florida Keys. This opening discussion brings local culinary professionals together to share their experiences, perspectives, and stories from the kitchens of the Keys.

Through its educational programs, the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center connects residents and visitors with the region's history, ecology, and cultural traditions, offering opportunities to learn more about the people and stories that have shaped the islands.

Admission is free for members and $10 for nonmembers.
