Heels For All with Paula Ali

Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Explore movement, character, and self-expression during Heels For All, a two-session workshop with performer and director Paula Ali at The Studios of Key West.

Designed for all experience levels, the workshop explores performing in heels as a way to generate character, emotion, and narrative through breath and balance. Participants will discover how posture, weight shifts, balance, and even moments of instability can become expressive tools for performance.

Ali is a Persian American performer and director whose movement-driven work celebrates body inclusivity, joy, and femme-identifying people of color. Her training includes a BFA in musical theatre from Auburn University and conservatory study at CAP21.

Participants should bring a pair of heels they feel comfortable moving in. The two-session workshop is $105 and takes place in the Helmerich Theater at The Studios of Key West, 533 Eaton Street in Key West.
