Native Colors Inc

Native Colors is Tony Klaesius's gallery in the Shops at Mallory Square, in Suite 3 at 291 Front Street. The focus is contemporary work by artists from the Keys and the wider region, with a particular lean toward metalwork and sculpture, so the room has more three-dimensional objects in it than most galleries in town.

It is an owner-run operation rather than a staffed showroom, which is the practical difference worth knowing. The person behind the counter is the person who selected the inventory, which means the answer to "who made this and why does it look like that" is available on the spot rather than from a card on the wall.

The gallery sits in the same arcade as several other shops a few steps from Mallory Square, so it folds easily into an afternoon before the Sunset Celebration rather than needing a trip of its own.
