Islamorada Sailfish Tournament

December 4–6, 2026. Experience one of the Florida Keys’ longstanding sportfishing traditions during the Islamorada Sailfish Tournament, the opening leg of the prestigious Florida Keys Gold Cup Sailfish Championship.

The 2026 tournament introduces a two-day fishing format, beginning with the captains meeting on Friday, December 4, followed by tournament fishing on Saturday, December 5, and Sunday, December 6. Teams head offshore in pursuit of Atlantic sailfish, competing for tournament honors and valuable points toward the Gold Cup championship.

Based at Three Waters Resort & Marina in Islamorada, the tournament brings together anglers, captains, crews, and spectators for a weekend celebrating the Florida Keys’ renowned sailfish fishery. Activities surrounding the competition include tournament gatherings, hospitality, and an awards celebration.

The Islamorada Sailfish Tournament serves as the first of three events in the Florida Keys Gold Cup Sailfish Championship, setting the stage for a season of competitive sailfishing in the Upper Keys.
