Junk in the Trunk: Fantasy Fest Costume Swap

Junk in the Trunk: Fantasy Fest Costume Swap

Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Truman Waterfront Community Yard Sale, better known as Junk in the Trunk, returns for its fall season with a special Fantasy Fest Costume Swap at Truman Waterfront Park.

With Fantasy Fest getting underway, it is the perfect opportunity to clear out costume bins and give past looks another moment in the spotlight. Sellers can bring costumes, wigs, masks, accessories, props, and decorations, while shoppers can browse for affordable pieces to inspire this year’s Fantasy Fest ensemble. Buying and repurposing pre-loved costumes also offers a creative way to keep usable items in circulation.

The costume swap is part of the regular Junk in the Trunk market, where residents sell directly from their vehicles along the waterfront. Shoppers can also hunt for household goods, décor, tools, clothing, vintage finds, collectibles, and unexpected treasures. There is no registration or admission required for shoppers.

Those interested in selling can register in advance for $15 for a car, $20 for a truck or SUV, or $25 for a van or trailer. Drive-up spaces are $5 more and available as space permits. Seller load-in begins at 6 a.m., and sellers keep 100 percent of their proceeds. Businesses, established resale and vintage vendors, and nonprofit organizations are also welcome with advance registration.

The market takes place along the Quay at Truman Waterfront Park in Key West. Parking is free for vehicles with a residential parking sticker.

Come ready to browse, bargain, clear out your closet, or uncover the finishing touch for this year’s Fantasy Fest costume.
