Key Lime Festival

The Key Lime Festival is a vibrant, multi-day celebration held each summer in Key West, Florida, honoring the island’s signature citrus and quirky spirit. From July 1–5 (2026), locals and visitors alike dive into a zesty lineup of pie tastings, gastronomic events, contests, live music, and creative activities across multiple venues to celebrate all things Key lime.

Culinary events range from cocktail “Sip & Strolls” and pie-hopping tasting tours to intimate dinners and rum tastings infused with the tart flavor of Key lime. Signature competitions like the World Famous Key Lime Pie Eating Championship and the fiery 5-Alarm Pie Challenge draw enthusiastic participants and spectators alike. On the cultural side, guests can enroll in mini pie-making workshops, join bike tours through historic Old Town, shop artisan lime-themed vendors, enjoy live entertainment, and partake in themed parties and poolside escapades.

Set in the birthplace of Key lime pie, Key West comes alive during the festival with its tropical backdrop, salty breezes, and laid-back island charisma. July 1, 2026 - Key West’s Key Lime Festival opens with a kickoff party at Avalon Bed & Breakfast, featuring music, tropical cocktails, a keynote by festival co-founder David Sloan and the Key Lime Spirit Pageant. A “Living the Key Lime Life” dinner follows at Kaya Island Eats.

July 2, 2026 - Available events include the Key Lime Pie Hop, Key-Lime-O-Rama Farmers Market, Wheeling & Dealing Hot Wheels Race, The Ultimate Key Lime Smash Party and Pub Style Trivia with a Key Lime Twist.

July 3, 2026 - Available events include the 5-Alarm Pie Challenge, Key Lime Sip & Stroll, Key Lime-Tastic Pool Party and a Key Lime-inspired four-course dinner at Four Flamingos, A Richard Blais Key West Kitchen.

July 4, 2026 - Independence Day events include the Rotary Club of Key West 4th of July 5K, beach games, a Key Lime Kid Zone, Key Lime Vendor Village, the World Famous Key Lime Pie Eating Championship, a pool party at Dante’s and the Rotary Club of Key West’s Fireworks Celebration.

July 5, 2026 - Available events include a dockside brunch at Matt’s Stock Island Kitchen and Bar, the SpaTerre “Key Lime in the Coconut” experience, Key Lime Rum Tasting at Key West First Legal Rum Distillery and desserts at Better Than Sex. The planned Key Lime Pie Drop will not take place this year, but organizers expect it to return in 2027.
