Florida Keys Council of the Arts

The Florida Keys Council of the Arts is the driving force behind much of the cultural heartbeat of the islands, working to celebrate and share the region's creativity with both residents and visitors.

From Key Largo to Key West, the Council (also known as "Keys Arts") supports local artists, promotes cultural events, and makes it easy for travelers to discover the artful side of island life through cultural guides, calendars, and exhibitions.

Among its most visible projects are the Florida Keys Sculpture Trail, where visitors can explore monumental outdoor works by nationally recognized artists placed along the Overseas Highway; the annual Connections Project, a community mosaic that brings together hundreds of Keys artists in one traveling exhibition; and the countywide Art in Public Places program, which commissions and installs original artworks in public spaces through a “1% for Art” initiative. Together with rotating gallery shows, grants that fund community art projects, and support for local festivals and performances, Keys Arts ensures that no matter where you are in the island chain, you’ll find art woven into the experience of visiting the Florida Keys.
