See a rare insider's look at the world-famous tourist hotspot like never before... as a surreal quiet paused Key West's bustling nightlife, prolific local music/art scene, and the quirky allure that had made this tropical paradise home to literary greats such as Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, and Judy Blume. There were no boarded-up storefronts and signs like you'd see just before or after a storm. Instead, Key West looked absolutely pristine while in hibernation... just without the people. This was something nobody had seen before, and we hoped nobody would see again. TimeFlies in Key West: Little Palm Island, Paradise Reborn
The landmark Little Palm Island Resort in the Florida Keys was nearly destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2017. After nearly 3 years of being closed, it reopened in March 2020 more beautiful than ever before yet still retaining its unique charm. This personal video was shot in July 2020 as a personal “postcard from paradise” to this special island resort in the Lower Keys. As idyllic as the location is, the wonderful staff is really what sets this special place apart.

Chris Sloan and his family split their time between their homes in Key West and Miami, but his soul lives full-time on the island. Sloan is an Emmy-award-winning television producer, marketing executive, entrepreneur, journalist, and philanthropist. Sloan’s nationally known television production company, 2C Media, produces content and marketing campaigns for the who’s who of TV networks, Hollywood studios, and streamer services. Previously, Sloan held senior executive-level marketing and content production positions at NBC, CBS, Discovery Networks, TLC, and USA Network.
His other avocation is being a noted journalist for the commercial aviation industry’s most prestigious trade publications and online outlets including Aviation Week, Air Transport World, Airline World, and Leeham News. Additionally, he owns and curates the world's largest online commercial aviation museum; TheAirchive.Net
Sloan, his wife Carla, and his son Caleb created and operate Caleb and Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation, a very active 501c3 nonprofit organization that responds to natural disasters, assists people in need, and advocates for children and families needing grief support. It is named for their late son, Calder Jacob Sloan, who tragically died at the age of seven years old.
