Hurricane Cup to Benefit Guides Trust Foundation

This charitable tournament benefits the Guides Trust Foundation Hurricane Relief Fund, supporting GTF members in the Keys inshore fishing community after major storms. This is a boat tournament with two anglers and a licensed guide per boat, with three divisions — fly, artificial and bait. Eligible species are permit, tarpon, bonefish, redfish and snook. A kickoff event and captains meeting takes place at Islamorada Fishing Club Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. Fishing takes place from 8 a. m. to 3:30 p.m. on both Oct. 10 and 11. A barbecue and awards ceremony takes place Sunday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m.
