36th Annual Schooner Wharf Minimal Regatta

Get ready for a splash-filled afternoon at one of Key West’s most unique and entertaining traditions. Participants build their own boats using a limited set of materials, including plywood, lumber, duct tape, and fasteners, then race them through the Key West Bight in a spirited and often unpredictable competition.
Teams of up to six compete across a variety of categories, from fastest times to most creative designs, best costumes, and even the most memorable sink. With vessel registration, inspections, and a lively waterfront crowd, the event offers plenty of excitement both on and off the water.
