Gold Cup Tarpon Tournament returns to Islamorada June 15–19, 2026, marking the 63rd anniversary of one of the world’s most prestigious fly-fishing competitions. Often referred to as the “Wimbledon of Tarpon Fishing,” this elite invitational tournament brings together a select group of anglers and guides to pursue the legendary “Silver King” in the waters surrounding the Florida Keys during peak tarpon migration. Fishing out of the iconic Lorelei Restaurant & Marina, participants compete in a catch-and-release, fly-fishing format for top honors including Grand Champion, continuing a long-standing tradition that celebrates the sport, camaraderie, and fishing heritage of the Florida Keys.
