Ladies Tarpon Fly Tournament
The Ladies Tarpon Fly Tournament is a long-running invitational fly-fishing tournament celebrating women in saltwater angling in the Florida Keys. Since 1977, female anglers from around the world have come to Islamorada and Florida Bay to fish for tarpon during their annual migration, making this event a respected tradition in the sport. Open to both experienced and novice anglers, the tournament combines competition with camaraderie through a kickoff event, daily breakfasts, social gatherings, and an awards banquet, with honors including Grand Champion and Best New Angler. Held June 9–11, 2026, with a kickoff event on June 8, the 2026 tournament marks its 49th anniversary and continues to create lasting memories while connecting women through their shared passion for pursuing the “Silver King.”
Event funding provided by the Monroe County Tourism Development Council.
