Middle Keys EAA Young Eagles Event

Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. EAA Chapter 1241, the southernmost chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association, hosts a Young Eagles event in Marathon.

Volunteer pilots take kids and teenagers ages 8 to 17 up on introductory flights, free of charge. The Young Eagles program started in 1992 and has flown more than two million young people since, and it exists for one reason: to put a kid in a small plane and see what happens next.

Registration forms are available through the EAA website, and the chapter’s Young Eagles coordinator is Mary Ellen Operchal.
