Old Florida Book Launch and Signing with Alan S. Maltz

Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Alan S. Maltz Gallery hosts the official launch and signing of Old Florida: An Artistic Interpretation, the photographer’s newest book. The invitation frames it as a chance to travel back in time and celebrate the present moment, which is a fair description of what the work does.

Maltz has spent more than four decades photographing Florida. He holds three designations that do not get handed out casually: Official Fine Art Photographer of Florida from VISIT FLORIDA, Official Wildlife Photographer of Florida from the Wildlife Foundation of Florida, and a place in the Florida Tourism Hall of Fame.

Old Florida follows five earlier books. Key West Color and Miami City of Dreams each took Best Coffee Table Book of the Year from the National Association of Independent Publishers. Florida, Beyond the Blue Horizon was the official welcome gift for Super Bowl XLI and won Best Florida Book for Adults and Best Interior Design from the Florida Publishers Association. Visions of Beauty and Journey Through Paradise rounded out the set.

The gallery has been at 1210 Duval Street in Old Town since January 1999.
