REEF Fish out of Water 5K

June 7–13, 2026 

The REEF Fish Out of Water Virtual 5K is a global, community-driven event that brings ocean lovers together to support marine conservation—no matter where they are. Participants can run, walk, bike, swim, or paddle their way through a 5K (3.1 miles), completing the distance in one day or over the course of the week. Designed to be flexible and inclusive, the event encourages friends, families, coworkers, and local groups to get active while making a meaningful impact for the ocean. Proceeds from the event support REEF’s Oceans for All Fund, which helps expand access to ocean exploration, education, and conservation programs for underserved communities. Participants also receive race swag and can form teams to share their experience and build community along the way. Held in conjunction with World Oceans Day, this event is more than a race—it’s a collective effort to protect and celebrate our blue planet.
